We have used DFW Custom Estimating services for years and have found it very useful in many ways.
Not only do we get a material list to bid out lumber apples to apples, but we get the framing plans, and take offs for flooring, counters, tile, and other areas of each house. Our framers, tile and flooring guys, counter top guys all find the dimensioned drawings helpful.
We also use the framing plans and lumber take offs to discuss with our framer and lumber supplier to review each house before we start construction to flush out any issues that may arise with beams, stairs, etc., so we can address before we start.
We would recommend this service to any builder who would like to take their planning to the next level.
